My lovely bride Julia actually suggested that Kerri from Blue Malibu be one of my “weekly vendor love’s”. Julia had a wonderful experience with Kerri. She ordered close to 160 fabric place mats for her chic bbq wedding in many different styles. Check out Kerri’s site for some awesome fabrics!

Sneak peek on what she did for Julia

From the artsist:

I love sewing and am really persnickety about details and the kinds of fabrics I use. I love beautiful fabric, especially fabrics with vibrant color and a lush hand. Some of the cottons I use are so soft and lush, I’ve actually made pillow cases for my bed from them Some fabrics are so beautiful, I don’t want to cut them, but I do… lolololol.

I’ve always been and artist, a painter, mixed media nut, but there’s something about sewing and the visual immersion of the fabric while I’m doing it that is so satisfying. Also, I liken fabric to books, there are so many books to read and not enough hours in my life to read them all. There are so many beautiful fabrics and since I’m not a millionaire who can buy and keep all of the beautiful fabrics that come out every season, sewing linens fulfills that insatiable desire
I’m dying to do a wedding with batiks. There are so many beautiful, hand painted batiks available now. Anyway, there are thousands of fabrics and I will sew anything. There is a selection on my facebook fanpage also, Kerri Blue Malibu.
